What happens if I am late?

A common reason for GP’s running late is that some patients do not attend on time. Please note, you may not be seen if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment. If you are late for your appointment you may have to wait until the end of surgery. This is to ensure we run our appointments on time. If you are late it will be up to the clinician's discretion if they can see you. Please do not take any of your frustrations out on the staff as this will not be tolerated, you will be asked to leave and your registration here at the practice may be at risk.

What happens if I do not attend?

We understand that this may happen especially with our future pre-bookable appointments.

The first non-attendance you will receive a text or a letter to inform you that you forgot your appointments.

The second time (within the same 12 months) you will receive a 2nd letter informing you that if it happens again then you may risk your registration within the practice.

The third time, (within 12 months) you will receive a third and final and go to review to see if we can maintain the high levels of non-attendance.

Further non-attendance, you risk being removed from the practice list.
