STAY AT HOME, KEEP THE NHS SAFE

 

NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

 

Use this service if:

  •       you think you might have coronavirus;
  •       in the last 14 days you've been to a country or area with a high risk   of coronavirus;
  •       you've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus.

 

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.

Practice Nurses

blood_pressure3Our practice nurses are available for face to face and have telephone appointments at the following times (unless special clinics are being run): 

Monday - Thursday

  • 09:00 – 12:30
  • 14:00 – 17:30

Friday - Hollycroft Site only

  • 10:00 - 12:00 

Phlebotomy Clinics daily

  • 08:00 - 11:30

You can make an appointment to see the nurse without a referral from the Doctor, for any of the following: 

  • Carer health checks
  • Asthma, Diabetic and Health heart checks
  • Removal of sutures
  • Simple wound dressings
  • Immunisations
  • Diet and exercise advice
  • Travel vaccinations
  • NHS Health check (40-74 years old)
  • Contraception advice and HRT monitoring
  • Cervical smears 

 Infection Control 

Our lead nurse and nursing team are in charge of our infection control here at Barwell and Hollycroft Medical Centres. 

We strive to deliver up to date evidenced based practice, complying with national guidelines (NICE, CQC, Epic 3, and Public Health).

We have recently updated our IPC policy and this can be provided on request, please speak to our nursing team who can support you with your query.
